Family heirlooms

The twins have been lucky enough to inherit two family heirlooms that have been in my side of the family for 40 years. Two beautiful wooden rocking chairs that are a perfect size for them.

They belonged to my Uncle Wayne and Aunty Louise and they both kindly passed them down to the twins. I was so happy when they decided to give them Phoebe and Tamsin, they love sitting on them. It also means they can keep them until they want to pass the rocking chairs down to their children.

My mum recovered the cushions with toadstool material from John Lewis. She knows I have an obsession with toadstools so when she found the material I was so excited. More so than the twins!

Phoebe likes to sit on her rocking chair whilst watching her new favourite programme, Peppa Pig. Tamsin on the other hand preferred sitting in the moses basket with her bunny this week.

She looks huge in the moses basket compared to when she was a baby. Both the girls could fit in one basket when they arrived home from hospital as they were only 5lbs each. In fact Phoebe was slightly less, so tiny!

See how small they look below.
