Our first visit to Poynton Pool

It turns out Poynton Pool is a few minutes drive from our house and I only visited the park with the twins this week for the first time.

I could kick myself, it is perfect for them. Lots of space for them to run around and climb trees, their new favourite thing. There are plenty of ducks to feed and they are quite lively, which fascinates the girls.

The ancient trees at Poynton Pool are stunning. They have ladybirds all over the bark, which the twins love although Phoebe keeps calling them bees!

It is a great place to let the twins run around and burn off some energy. Plus you can have a picnic like we did on one of the benches.

It is a nice afternoon out that is free and is good for the girls to learn about wildlife. Tamsin was excited about seeing the sheep or ‘baa baa’ as she calls them. I thought they might both run after them but they were a little hestitant, which saved me running after them at 37 weeks pregnant!

I am going to visit Poynton Pool reguarly when the next baby is born (three weeks to go – oh god). It will be an easy one to do with all three on my own (she says with a slight nervousness in her voice!).
