Every Easter holidays we pack our car full to the brim and head to Rhosneigr in Wales.
My partner Sam has been going on holiday there since he was a nipper, just like his dad. The Hadfield family love Rhosneigr and try to spend as much time there as they can. Sam’s Uncle Pete has a house in the village and his sister Nikki has a lovely caravan right near the beach.
Sam’s granny also went on holiday to Rhosneigr when she was little so it is a lovely place to take the twins as it has so much meaning to the family. Last year the girls were only babies so this time was really their first proper experience of playing in the sand!
Needless to say they loved it. Tamsin enjoyed filling a bucket and pouring it over her head and in her dungarees. Phoebe on the other hand didn’t like the sand on her hands and if she fell over she would stay there until someone picked her up. Phoebe preferred the sea and in a split second ran into the sea and dived straight into the water…fully clothed. She was soaked within minutes of being on the beach!
The good thing about this was that we had a house literally on the beach so I quickly took her back to the house, got her changed and she was out on the beach again within ten minutes.
We shared the house with Sam’s brother Marcus, his wife Jess and their kids Marcy and Johnny. It was lovely for the twins to spend time with their cousins and Marcy was such a massive help the whole holiday. She dressed them, bathed them, played with them, fed them – you name it she could do it. Who knew how helpful a nine year old could be! Such a little gem.
Anyway, I could waffle on about the whole holiday. I will post a couple more blogs on certain activities we did over the next coming days but for now here are some pics.
